DOUBLE INSPECTION
We take this lesson from grade school
If you want to make sure you know it, test yourself twice.
Our protocol at Compugen Education takes this advice to heart. Every machine is tested inside and out by two different technicians. And each machine is audited by our auditing software at least twice.
Inspection #1:
A technician manually inspects the machine. With the power off, the technician looks for any loose parts. S/he inspects all moving parts for sounds or rattles and thoroughly inspects the outside for cosmetic damage, noting each knick and dent. S/he then turns the machine on, wipes the hard drive three times, and audits the machine for processing capability, hard disk speed, and RAM functioning.
Repairs:
Any red flags that have been raised result in replaced or repaired parts. A hard drive or keyboard may be replaced, or a cooling fan repaired, for example.
Inspection #2:
A second technician inspects the machine after repairs and uses auditing software to make sure the computer is operating at 100%. A list of issues that have been resolved arrives with the computer, and this second technician makes sure that every problem was resolved. S/he loads software according to the order, authorizes it, and packs the computer for shipping.
If it’s critical for school performance, it is best to test twice.
Our double inspection protocol means that even the smallest, least noticeable problems – a tiny scratch on the touch screen, a loose cooling fan – will be noticed and repaired by our team.
It’s our double inspection protocol that allows us to brag a little bit and say:
We have a lower rate of returns for our refurbished computers than for new ones.
It’s also our double inspection protocol that allows us to offer a lifetime warranty. If the computer isn’t functioning properly, we pay the return shipping to repair or replace it!
