Compugen Awarded For Outstanding Sustainability Program
We’re celebrating here at Compugen.
Every year, Canada’s Clean50 recognizes 50 individuals that are leading the way in eco-responsible business practices. These leaders are judged over the previous two years to be innovative in creating market solutions to sustainability problems. The Clean50 are divided into 16 categories, and the leader in each category is specially honored as part of the elite Clean16.
This year, Compugen Inc’s Green4Good® program was recognized in the 2016 Clean16 – a huge honor for our company and a boon to our program. Called “outstanding contributors to clean capitalism,” the Clean16 includes major Canadian politicians, international thought-leaders, and our very own Steve Byrne of Green4Good®.
The award citation reads as follows:
Refurbished Technology – The Solution For The Future
This is yet another sign that refurbished technology is the path of the future. Diverting toxic tech waste from landfills and using it to offer reliable, cutting edge computers to schools and individuals for a fraction of the cost is a win-win for everyone. And it’s our whole business model at Compugen Education. We’ve provided thousands of computers to schools around the United States so that more students have powerful computers and an opportunity to gain the skills they need for a bright and technology-rich future.
